Grandparents Days is in January. It’s the opportunity to organize the intergenerational activities. All kindergartens organize the meetings. In the primary schools isn’t so popular, because the programme of education doesn’t let to devote enough time for this kind of activities.
The children in the kindergartens start a few weeks early. They prepare the gifts. Usually it’s cards, paper decoration, boxes, napkins etc.
The activities are compatible with education programme in the kindergartens, improve manual skills. Another activity is the performance for the guests. Children learn sing the songs and poems dedicated grandparents. Sometime they learn dances. It depends of the competences of the teachers.
The final event is about 20-22th January. The grandparents are the guests and watch the performance. Sometimes any seniors share their passion with the children and the guests for example embroidery.
This is a good example of the intergenerational activities.
